Responsibilities: Provide support in technical design, development, implementation and maintenance of banking IT systems to supported business units Work with business analysts and architects to define and plan the introduction of new systems or changes to existing systems, identifying costs and requirements and ensuring plans are in place to exploit them Apply specialist expertise in the development of IT systems with the objective of optimising operational performance and improving quality whilst increasing cost-effectiveness Supervise the rectification of production system issues with the minimum disruption to the business Develop an expert-level understanding of major local systems Requirements: Business Objects 4, 5 & 6, Xl r2, Xl 3.1 (Reporter/Deskl, Supervisor/CMC, Designer, Webl, InfoView), Deployment and Migration on Windows and Unix (Sun Solaris) systems Web development using HTML, DHTML, ASP, JSP, JSF, JavaScript, Java Servlets Oracle Database administration and stored procedure development 8, 9i, 10g, PL/SQL DB2 query optimisation and stored procedure development MS VB 4&6, 2008 Express, VBA, VB Script MS SQL Server admin and development 2000, 2005, 2008 /SQL MS Access 97, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2007 MS Excel 97, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2007 Horizon Property Management Software MS SQL Integration Services, SSIS EQM Business Objects version control software Applicants without Investment banking/ Financial Markets experience will not be considered.
