Senior Manager - Transfer Pricing

My client is looking to hire a Senior Transfer Pricing Manager/Vice President to add expertise and experience. Ideally a CA with in-house management experience within asset management / FS.
The successful candidate will report directly to and liaise closely with the Head of Tax and will be responsible for all of Group's transfer pricing affairs including the management of our transfer pricing policy. They will work closely with the business, Finance, Product Development, Legal and Regulatory to substantially simplify the design and implementation of the Group's transfer pricing policy adapting design where appropriate whilst managing transfer pricing risk.
This will include:
- Ensuring all transfer pricing issues are escalated and resolved, methodologies are accurately executed and business, structural, or regulatory changes are considered and reflected where appropriate
- Enabling the business in relation to managing all transfer pricing matters
- Providing support in methodology documentation and technical analysis
- Being the subject matter expert on all aspects of the transfer pricing policy
- A focus will be on effectively managing adviser relationships in a cost effective way rather than having direct reports.
The successful candidate will have sufficient experience that they are comfortable with the remit and can deal with any changes and challenges that we may have going forward. As such, we are seeking a particularly high-calibre transfer pricing candidate with the following skills and experience:
- Excellent analytic & problem solving skills
- Strong stakeholder relationship skills and ability to communicate effectively both in writing & verbally
- Knowledge of asset management or similar service businesses
- Strong knowledge of transfer pricing
- Good understanding of accounting standards
The following will be attractive and aid any application
- Accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent)
- Prior experience of working in an asset management role
- Experience or appreciation of financial processes and reporting
- Proven success through involvement with change initiatives
